What to Wear (for Halloween): Solange Knowles Edition

OK, we realize that attempting to "be" Solange Knowles for Halloween is an inherently flawed concept—because those knockout Knowles genes are kind of crucial to the endeavor. But if we did want to try to pull off some sort of Great Pumpkin-type miracle, we think we've cracked the fashion formula.

It all starts with a colorful pattern—the sort of pattern that gives the effect of dominating most of your body. (Note: if you're wearing short shorts or a mini-skirt—which is highly encouraged—said pattern must extend north of your waist.) Then, you must accessorize with chunky jewels that appear to have been picked up in your exotic travels, look one-of-a-kind, and are layered with other fabulous gear. If possible, you should befriend several indie musicians with cred, who will proceed to worship your fabulousness. Lastly, you must emulate the hair—that glorious hair. That is all.
