Trend to Try: High-Neck Halters

With '90s nostalgia reaching a fever pitch, we aren't exactly shocked to see high-necked halter tops popping up on models, stars and street style icons alike. After all, the sporty silhouette was a mainstay of our dELiA*s years—right along with crop tops, overalls and oversized plaid shirts. But unlike some of the more literal interpretations of our favorite Party of Five–era looks, this one feels less costumey and more wearable. Plus, the shoulder-baring silhouette is ridiculously flattering.

Just check out Kim Kardashian in this floor-sweeping number, below. We could go without the slit-to-there skirt, but that sleek neckline? Killer.

Designer Vika Gazinskaya's ruffled interpretation is fresh and sweet...

...while this model's belly-baring black style is indisputably fierce.

We're also loving the feminine, flirty feel of this spotted-on-the-street ensemble.

From maxi dresses to streamlined tops, there are plenty of high-neck halter styles in store now. Shop our faves below:

Milly Halter Crop Top, $151, at Shopbop; Parker Kingston Striped Cropped Top, $198, at Saks Fifth Avenue

Dolce Vita Adelina Dress, $242, at Revolve Clothing; Ecote Halter Jumpsuit, $79, at Urban Outfitters; Zunie Stripe Halter Skater Dress, $46, at Nordstrom
